SHELTER ROCK DISTRICT

Camping Chairmen: Wayne Bauman and George Carlin

Wayne: 747-1249

George: 316-2674

The district Camp Promotion and Outdoor Committee provides outdoor programs that most units are unable to provide on their own, and outdoor programs are often the main reason youth join a Scout unit. From Cub Scout day camp to high-adventure programs, this committee helps make exciting outdoor programs available for all Scouts.

An excellent resource for new and “experienced” unit leaders is the Order of the Arrow’s “Where to Go” outdoor book. You can find it here: http://www.trcbsa.org/TRC_E_ServCtr/E-Forms/Camping/where%20to%20go.pdf

It is imperative for every adult unit leader to read and fully understand the “Guide to Save Scouting.”

You can find it here: http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/HealthandSafety/GSS.aspx
